Gogo's Crazy BonesGogo's Crazy Bones...are a collectable, mini game kids toys sensation. They are small, colourful kids toys, whose gaming origins date back to Ancient Greece, where children played by bouncing and throwing knuckle bones. These more refined kids toys, plastic characters are available in their hundreds, each one having a unique face and name. They have been released over the past few years in series. Early this year Gogos Crazy Bones Explorer appeared (series 3) and the series 4 offering, Gogos Crazy Bones Power, is released later this month. These characters are generally bought in those little packs that you see in newsagents with stickers in. Each pack comes with 3 Crazy Bones characters and 3 go gos crazy bones stickers. As with all these types of collectable crazy bones figures you don’t get to see what’s in your packet before you buy it. If you buy more than one pack of Go go Crazy Bones, undoubtedly you will end up with duplicates which will end up in a playground swapping craze. Within each series there are a few rare crazy bones, sought after by avid collectors. If you’re lucky enough to nab one of these you might want to check on a few auction sites to see if you could sell it and make a tidy profit. You had better hope your little terrors do not want to collect ALL of the unique figures of gogos crazy bones as there are at least 80 in each set, and each one comes in 5 colours, making a whopping 400 to seek out, not to mention the rare ones on top of that. If you think the collecting is over with the figures, think again. Not only do you get characters in your pack, you also get stickers, and obviously a few stickers won’t do, your little ones will need the lot. So once you have bought a few of these harmless little packets what can you expect to see? Well you will probably notice your child walking round throwing handfuls of tiny, colourful figures about. Depending on how many of the games they’ve picked up in the playground, you may see them rolling them, catching them or just seeing how they land and quickly adding up their points compared to their friend. More than 2000 years ago... This ancient pastime known as "tabas" has been kept alive throughout the centuries and if you ask your parents or grandparents we are sure they will tell you about games that they played with sticks or pebbles. Gogo Crazy Bones were inspired by a game played in Ancient Greece called astragals, where children played with sheep's knucklebones. This ancient pastime is also known as Tabas. Crazy Bones is a modern version of this game, played with characters moulded from plastic. There are hundreds of individual characters, each character had a unique face and name. The different shapes of the figures cause them to bounce in different patterns, making some crazy bones more advantageous to own. Crazy Bones were banned in many schools, because of being the start of many playground arguments and being a distraction during class. During the mid 1990s, Cola Cola of Mexico released a similar brand of toys named "Hielocos". In early 2008, new Gogos Crazy Bones were launched in the UK. There are 80 different types of Go go Crazy Bones to collect as well as stickers. The rarest gogos are the "special surprise" versions, which are multi-coloured as opposed to the plainer, standard colour versions. Standard Gogos come in one of five different colours and there are five additional Gogos Crazy Bones in the "special surprise" colours.
